Nice work on the board. Very clean.

I am interested in your DIY vacuum pump. It looks like you are using a compressor. Could you elaborate on your setup and how you did it? I have been wanting to experiment with using bagging in simplifying the lamination process for building HWS.

@cschepel: It is a little bit difficult to explain for me in Englisch but I'll do my best:

I built the vacuum pump myself. It is a setup with a refrigerator compressor which can be used as a vacuum pump if you put the vacuum hose on the inlet of the pump. This refrigerator pump pulls a vacuum of -0,93 Bar so the pressure is almost a full vacuum. I used about -0,5 Bar pressure to glue the wooden panels to the frame. More pressure can crush the panels or the internal structure of the board.

I used an Arduino to program an automatic stop. I can turn the potentiometer to a desired pressure and the pump will pull it till that pressure is reached. I programmed that the pump turns on automatically when the pressure reduced 0,1 Bar from the desired pressure.

Arduino = "Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. It's intended for anyone making interactive projects."

I used a vacuum sensor to measure the live pressure. This sensor sends a signal to the Arduino and I connected a relais to switch the refrigerator pump on and off.

Definitely interested in the pump / arduino set up - I'd like to try that method. I'm about to start experimenting with arduino and neopixels.
