be rude not to, huh?

Email me if you want the full PDF template

this one will be another quickie like the mini simmons, single fin, quite wide and a bit thick at just under 3 inches, about 60/40 rails, a tad wider in the nose at about 18' and a tail of 15'. Ply, paulownia, WRC and a little bit mental with the glass job to keep me sane..

Mike

Spar done, inner nose pieces done, rins nearly done - just need to check whether I have a vent and finbox kicking around. I'll try some of this PU glue for the inner gluing - any feedback on it?

titebond and gorilla PU are twice the cost, and there is a recession on..

I'm thinking a red and white resin design with the "blue" logo undernieth, a bit blanket style. what do you think?

I like it!

btw, I use pattex glue, it holds up just fine. I think it is in the same price range as the one on ebay?

Sound like Dr Schenk 404 Polyurethane Adhesive is the same as Gorilla glue. In Australia we have Selleys Aquadhere Durabond a Gorilla glue equivalant.

is anyone else struggling with new and improved photobucket? used to like it and it wa dead simpke resizing to 640x480.. its just took me an hour trying to resize a picture but the forum won't accept the size using the [img] link even though the pic was less than a quarter the max pixels, something like 320x288 - saved, resaved, logged in out in out like the freakin hokey cokey - wonder if its because it was an iphone picture originally. ended up photoshopping and adding as an attachment..

Prepped the botom skin with balsa blocks for alignment, then drilled and glued up the spar. Only practical difference so far between gorilla glue and the dr schenk PU glue seems to be the dr schenk foams up a little quicker and was starting to cure after about 30 minutes, so lucky it only took me 20 to get it all clamped up..

Second rail strip and some scrap XPS for the finbox and leashplug.

Image

The next rail strip will need some shaping to fit the curve neatly but I think I have got this figured out. This should take me onto the tops of the ribs, so two or three more square strips here, including something contrasting to help with the cutlap and the deck can go on. This one is getting a blanket.

Glassing supplies ordered too from Seabase (polyester lam, epoxy for the rest), for this and the WSS Simmons Eco Chamber replica that I want to start soon.
