Post Getting resin of your hands without Acetone
Hi guys.
A couple of days ago I had to apply some more resin to my rails. When I was finished I took of my latex gloves, tripped and got my hand in the resin..
Anyways.. I was trying to get it off with soap and stuff because I couldn't find my acetone. So what I did, (Yeah it sounds dumb) I cleaned my hand with shaving gel. For some reason when you clean your hand with shaving gel, it goes right off. It get way less sticky I guess.
Everytime I have resin on my hand or something, I just use the shaving gel ^^

This works for polyester resin. This is the shaving gel I use:

Hope this helps for some of you!

Hi Matthijs,
Yes it's good for stripping varnish off of wood too. It made rings on my bathroom polished wooden work tops. I think that it must have a lot of Alcohol in it . Great to think it has other uses as well. Vinegar is also good for cleaning off epoxy as is White spirit.
Cheers Martin
